Conquistador Council, Scouting America is hiring two Unit Service Executives. We are building the right team around the people, experience, and availability we find, with several possible role levels and full- or part-time opportunities.
The Work
Regardless of title, these positions help strengthen Scouting throughout our communities. Responsibilities may include:

Strengthen Units: Coach volunteers and help support local Scout units.

Grow Scouting: Recruit youth and adults and expand access to Scouting.

Build Partnerships: Connect with schools, churches, civic organizations, and community leaders.

Deliver Programs: Coordinate events, communications, training, and practical support.
Available Role Levels
District Executive — Entry-Level Executive Role
Full-time | Salaried, exempt
Support a district or service-area portfolio. Coach volunteers, strengthen units, grow membership, build community partnerships, and coordinate district programs and communications. Structured training, mentoring, and professional development are included.
District Associate
Full- or part-time | Hourly, non-exempt
Serve a defined community, project, or group of units. This flexible pathway may be a good fit for someone finishing school, exploring professional Scouting, returning to the workforce, or balancing another commitment. Structured training, mentoring, and professional development are included.
Field Director — Experienced Professional
Full-time | Salaried, exempt
Coach and guide field staff, coordinate work across service areas, and grow toward broader council leadership, including staff leadership, planning, and fiscal management. Continued training is provided.
Compensation will match the role, schedule, and experience.
Hybrid, Community-Based Work
Work from home, throughout assigned communities, and from the council office when useful. Evenings and some weekends are part of serving Scouting volunteers and families.

Senior Summer Camp Staff Opportunities
Conquistador Council is also hiring experienced senior summer camp staff for Wehinahpay Mountain Camp, especially leaders in:

Marketing
College internships are welcome, and the council is happy to work with schools when academic credit is available. Seasonal camp assignments are available.
