Celebrate Roswell’s Air Races with a Commemorative Scout Patch

The roar of engines, the thrill of speed, and the pride of Roswell—THIS WEEK, September 10–13, history will be made as Roswell hosts the National Championship Air Races for the very first time. To mark this exciting moment, the Conquistador Council, Boy Scouts of America, has created a special commemorative patch that celebrates Scouting’s connection to this world-class event.

This limited-edition patch isn’t just a keepsake—it’s a way to support local Scouting. Every patch sold helps raise funds for Camperships and year-round adventures that prepare young people for leadership, service, and success.

But that’s not all—during race week, the Conquistador Council is partnering with ENMU-Roswell to host a Scouting Alumni Movie Night at the Performing Arts Center. Guests can enjoy concessions, purchase Council patches and Scouting products, as well as learn more about how Scouting builds character, leadership, and lifelong friendships. We’ll also share information about Scouting Alumni programs, so everyone—from current Scouts to past Eagle Scouts—can stay connected to the movement.

✨ Here’s how you can get involved:

Whether we are gathering with Scouting Alumni or celebrating the inaugural air races, this week is a special one for Southeast New Mexico.
