A special silent auction item will take center stage during this Saturday’s 100th Anniversary Gala at the Artesia Country Club — an exclusive Peter Hurd print, donated by his son, in honor of the artist’s lifelong dedication to Scouting.

Peter Hurd, an early Scout and steadfast supporter of the Scouting movement throughout his life, captured the spirit of the outdoors and adventure in his work. This rare print represents more than fine art — it embodies the values and legacy of Scouting in Southeast New Mexico.
Proceeds from the auction will directly support local Scouting programs, including funding for youth to attend the 2026 National Scout Jamboree. For generations, the Conquistador Council has proudly sent a contingent of Scouts to every National Jamboree in history — a tradition made possible through community generosity and pivotal fundraising efforts like this weekend's gala.
The 100th Anniversary Gala promises an evening of celebration, fellowship, and community impact — culminating in the chance to own a true piece of Scouting history while supporting its future.
Join us this Saturday at the Artesia Country Club for this milestone event. Come ready to bid on the Peter Hurd print and help keep the flame of Scouting burning bright for the next hundred years in Southeast New Mexico.
