This past weekend, Troop 3274 teamed up with Troop 228 for an unforgettable adventure at Bell Ranch!
Scouts immersed themselves in hands-on learning, working on Wilderness Survival, Forestry, Paul Bunyan, Totin’ Chip, and a variety of core Scout skills.
Despite a few light rain showers, the weather was nearly perfect—cool nights and fresh air added to the experience. Two Scouts earned the Paul Bunyan Award after clearing 390 feet of trail blocked by fallen trees! Others knocked out personal requirements, and most wrapped up the Wilderness Survival Merit Badge by building and sleeping in survival shelters that held up through the rain. Not a single Scout got wet!
Of course, the food was a highlight, too. Dinner featured wild game burgers topped with rich gravy on homemade biscuits, followed by peach cobbler and heavy cream for dessert—a camp meal for the books!
Special thanks to our Assistant Scoutmasters and Junior Assistant Scoutmasters who dedicated their time and talents to teaching, guiding, and inspiring Scouts throughout the weekend. Your leadership makes all the difference. This was a campout our Scouts won’t soon forget!
