Oil Patch District Banquet 2025: Celebrating Leaders and Excellence

The Oil Patch District Banquet was held on January 25th, 2025 at the First Presbyterian Church, in Hobbs NM.

The event honored the adult leaders who are helping Scouting to thrive in Southeast New Mexico. The banquet celebrated all the achievements of 2024, for the Scouting volunteers and leaders.

One very significant moment was the District Award of Merit being presented to Matt Byrd and Kristina Ganaway. The dedication that these two have for Scouting is such an inspiration. Their hard work and commitment has not gone unnoticed in the Oil Patch District.

The banquet also held a special recognition of Eagle Scout Jace Kobielusz as the newest member of the 2024 Eagle Scout Class.

There were many celebrations, achievements, and recognitions for the Packs, Troops and district leaders. The Oil Patch District would like to give a special thank you to all the volunteers, leaders and support from units like Troop 97 for coordinating the dinner contribution from Kendall’s Meat Market. The BBQ was delicious.

The banquet was an amazing event to be in attendance and a part of the celebration. Thank you to all who were in attendance.
