Safeguarding youth is our highest priority. As part of our continued commitment to creating a safe and supportive environment for every young person in our programs, we are excited to announce the launch of the new Safeguarding Youth Training (SYT).

Conquistador Council is excited to announce a new opportunity to support local Scout units in delivering a high-quality and engaging Fall Join Night experience: the Unit Scoutership Program.

The Scout Law defines the values by which Scouts strive to live, guiding their actions and character each day. While many Scouts do their best to uphold these ideals during their time in the program, only a few continue to embody them throughout their entire lives. Jimmy Allison was one of those rare individuals.

The new release of the new Safeguarding Youth Training wasn’t just a refreshed version of the old training—it’s a completely redesigned format with relevant, real-world content shared by national experts in youth protection.

The Conquistador Council is honored that his family has asked that, in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts be made to the Jimmy Allison Registration Assistance Fund—helping ensure that finances are never a barrier that prevents a young person from joining Scouting.
