Conquistador Council is excited to announce a new opportunity to support local Scout units in delivering a high-quality and engaging Fall Join Night experience: the Unit Scoutership Program.

This initiative provides financial assistance to units to help cover the costs of recruitment events and enhance the Join Night experience for new and returning families.

As part of the Scoutership Program, participating units will receive:

  • The Unit Join Night Checklist to help plan and execute a successful recruitment night event.

  • Membership Recruitment Tools, including flyers, promotional materials, and guidance to showcase all that Scouting has to offer.

  • Direct financial assistance to offset costs related to event space rental, supplies, refreshments, and other expenses that make Join Night more fun and welcoming.

Whether you're planning a carnival-themed open house, a STEM activity night, or a simple meet-and-greet in the park, this program can help ensure your unit makes a strong first impression.

How to Apply

Units interested in applying should complete the initial application and speak with their District Executive no later than 7/15/2025. The application is simple, and funds are limited—so early action is encouraged. Beyond that, a follow-up application with recipiets are due to the council within 30 days of the event.

Let’s work together to grow Scouting across Southeastern New Mexico! With a little help, your unit can make this fall’s recruitment effort the best yet.
