Chartering Organization: Cannon Air Force Base

We are excited to announce the creation of two new Scout Troops at Cannon Air Force Base: Troop 427-B for boys and Troop 427-G for girls. These Base Troops mark the first of their kind in several years, established in partnership with Cannon AFB, the Conquistador Council, and Scouting America.

Philip Henrikson, Scoutmaster for T427-B, shared his enthusiasm for the initiative:"The establishment of Cannon AFB Scout Troop 427 offers members easy access to a wide range of scouting topics, including medical training, community involvement, and advanced merit badges. This initiative promotes camaraderie and personal growth by delivering a level of instructional depth that is hard to find in other scout troops."

Anastasia Louise Atkinson-Adams, Scoutmaster for T427-G, added:"Troop 427 Scouts will have a unique opportunity to learn from Active Duty professionals and enjoy experiences that will create lasting memories."

Assistant Scoutmaster Chad Atkinson-Adams expressed the significance of this milestone:"The opportunity to charter new troops is an honor to be a part of; it is especially exciting to charter these troops under an organization that is excited about developing the youth of America into leaders of character, that recognizes the value scouting adds to communities, and that sets a healthy example for future leaders and citizens."

We look forward to seeing the incredible growth, leadership, and community engagement that will come from these troops. Congratulations to all involved in this historic achievement!
